Monsieur Auburtin

A work about a life in dance, and the dance of life – a tale about dance viewed from the wings.

Starting with Serge’s first dance class at age seven in France, this performance is powerful journey through a life dedicated to dance, and is a love song to the dance artists who came before him and whose art demands courage, self-denial, passion, and joy. Monsieur Auburtin offers audiences a keyhole through which to rediscover their own childhood dreams, splendidly realized or forgotten through the passage of time.
